History & Core contributors to Substra Framework

The Substra open source initiative and the Substra Foundation non profit were initiated by 5 privacy-preserving ML enthusiasts in late 2017 - early 2018. Many people are contributing to this adventure. Our goals are to federate a vibrant community of users and contributors around Substra Framework and to advance a definition of responsible data science.

It is very difficult to put together and maintain a comprehensive list of all the friends, colleagues, partners or committed individuals who provided ideas, comments, questions, help and sometimes much more… in short, all the people who constitute our community. We are deeply grateful to all, the human interactions and the conversations continue to spark and fuel this initiative.

Among all, the core contributors to Substra Framework hold a special place, as without them the framework would not exist.
